Mr.
Sharma topped University of Pune in the MBA (Masters in Business
Administration) Program from Symbiosis Institute of Business
Management; apart from securing top position in the MCA (Masters
in Computer Applications) program of the Pune University located
in Western India. Besides these regular programs, he has participated
in several short-term programs at reputable universities &
institutions in the US and UK.
Mr.
Sharma has significantat experience
in the marketing of MIS & training solutions to large Corporate
as well as voluntary sector/grass root organizations. He has
been a frequent participant as well as a speaker at the leading
International technology & development forums such as:

Seminar on "Building sustainable livelihoods by implementing
a partnership between the private sector and community" at the World Bank in December 2001

Seminar on "Fund-raising and Resource Mobilization by the voluntary
groups" for the South Asia Fund-Raising Group in January, 2002

Seminar on "ICTs for development and gender" at the Second
Annual Baramati Conference in May 2002 (sponsored by the Ministry
of Information Technology, Govt. of India and MIT Media Labs
Asia Ltd).

of e-commerce and content partnerships" for the Ministry

The
core organizational philosophy at Datamation has been to empower
the weakest of the weak using ICTs (Information & Communication
Technologies) as well as offer employment opportunities to the
economically & socially deprived sections of the Indian
society, women as well as the physically handicapped people.
Mr. Sharma is also involved intensively in implementation of
ICT projects at grass roots, partnering with a large number
of voluntary organizations. He has been working tirelessly to
help implement ICT solutions in the primary education and health-care
sectors in few parts of the country. He is a prolific writer
on topical subjects such as ICTs role in the poverty alleviation,
gender and development, trade barriers and trade imbalances
as well as on the role of ICTs in enhancing the competitiveness
and profitability of the Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
He has been a regular visitor to the IT (Information Technology)
fairs such as the CEBIT, Germany; Comdex, USA as well as CRM
& direct marketing conferences across the globe.
Mr. Sharma has been the recipient of many international & national
awards such as the Outstanding Young Consultant Award initiated
by the Govt. of India as well as the recipient of the Global
Economic Forum Award. He has been listed on the International
Who's Who of Professionals as well as recently he has been chosen
as the finalist for the World Bank's InfoDev's Information &
Communication Technology based project on the creation of sustainable
livelihoods in India's IT Industry for the socially & economically
weak people.
